Erskine, Hall & Coe are delighted to announce that a Long Necked Vase by Lucie Rie, made in circa 1960, has recently been acquired from our gallery by Victoria Art Gallery in Bath. It is now on display at the gallery alongside other examples of 20th century studio ceramics in their collection. These include works by Hans Coper, Bernard Leach, Katherine Pleydell-Bouverie, James Tower and Robin Welch.
These items currently occupy one section of a large L-shaped display case on the first floor of the gallery. The adjoining sections display world ceramics, ranging from blue and white wares and Chinese pieces to British earthenware, Jasperware, and European and Chinese export porcelain.
The vase will be on display through Spring 2018. For further information about Victoria Art Gallery and their opening hours, please visit their website here.
