We’re pleased to announce that after a busy private view attended by friends and admirers of the artists, our new exhibition of works by Bernard Dejonghe and Anthony Benjamin is now open, and fully illustrated online here.
The exhibition consists of a trio of media: glass, ceramics and works on paper.
Dejonghe’s ceramics are wood-fired, organic forms which draw from his many travels in North Africa, inspired by tales of mythical creatures as well as archeological research. The solid glass forms comprise of optical glass, each piece weighing between 13.5 and 47 kilograms, and requiring a complex firing process concluding with a six-week reduction in temperature to allow the piece to cool without fracturing.
Anthony Benjamin’s drawings, varying in size from 25 x 219 cm to 113 x 143 cm, are master works of pencil on paper.
The exhibition continues until the 25th of September and the accompanying catalogue can be viewed here.
